THE BOOK BOUND

My name is Cheryl Humphrey.

I am a 23 year old college graduate of Seton Hall University.

I majored in journalism because my passion in life is writing. However, I see my path leading towards book publishing or marketing communications/digital marketing.

Two very different fields yet those are the two things that make the most sense in my world.

Books have always been a part of my life. From a very early age they have made the most sense and created a feeling I couldn't get anywhere else. I always felt bound to my books, drawn to them for the mystery, the fantasy and the joy they can bring.  Books have been the one constant love of my life that I always went back to. My favorite memories are when my mom used to take me to the library and I would spend hours scouring the shelves, just waiting for the right book to pop out at me.

Much like this blog, things will just spontaneously jump out at me and I will know right away what a great idea it is and that is how this blog was born.

With this blog, The Book Bound, I will be able to combine my loves for reading, books and social media to create an outlet for not only myself but for other book lovers out there who want to share their opinions, suggestions or thoughts on books that have moved them or made them cringe.

Something I find awesome about social media is that you can connect with other people who enjoy the same things as you. And so after I had recently read an amazing book, I just wanted to share this gem with everyone I knew and I can’t think of any better way than to channel my ability and love of writing, with my love of books and knowledge of social media.

My goal for this blog is to bring together book lovers, where ever you may  be,  and discuss books that I love, books that you love and through this find a little bit of happiness on our life’s journey as books lovers are always book bound.
